ABOUT ME & THE "WHY"

Hey there! If you are new here, welcome! My name is Kourtney. I am 19 years old and am from a small town in south Texas. I am a dreamer, an adventurist, a creator, and a coffee enthusiast. 

This past year I served as a missionary with an organization called the World Race. I lived in Guatemala and Costa Rica for 6 months with 24 other young adults who are radically in love with Jesus. While on the World Race, I began writing blogs; telling the stories of what God was doing in the world around me. I found that I enjoy blogging, but even more, I found a passion for telling the current-day stories of how Jesus is moving through my own journey with Him. Revelation 12 speaks of "overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony". This is important and a key factor in me continuing to "tell". The life I live is not my own, it's Christ', and the journey I'm on tells of Him and His love...leading to reconciled hearts back to His. These stories tell of something/someone greater than myself, and they give glory to the worthy One, the King of Kings, and the Lord of all. 

Alongside me "telling", I am on a radical adventure with Jesus called life, and I wanted to create a space for us to walk this together. No matter who or what brings you here, you are welcomed and you have a place. My prayer is that this website becomes a place of encouragement, hope, inspiration, safety, healing, joy, and authenticity. I'm simply living a life of "yes" for Jesus, pursuing the dreams and passions He has placed in my heart to tell of His love and make Him known throughout all the earth. We are all on a journey, but never are we called to walk it alone.
